Getting in
1. Press PLAY. 2. JOIN A SERVER → OFFICIAL → First Rain. 3. The first time, you name your survivor and pick a look.
How the machines work
Every machine you fight is also your ammunition, medicine and armour. Machines are made of parts: knock a plate off, then hit the joint under it, and the part comes away whole. Clean takes give better salvage; spraying shots ruins the part they hit.
The basics
Open your pack with Tab, build with B, take something down with C, and check the map with M.
